Hobcaw Barony

Stop in and see the truly one-of-a-kind Natural Historic Landmark, Brookgreen Gardens. Offering 9200 acres of manicured grounds and the largest sculpture garden in the world, showing over 900 works of American art from the early 1800’s to today. Bring your camera and come prepared to be left speechless.
Gullah
Scattered throughout the area you’ll find the Gullah lifestyle alive and well. A truly beautiful story of survival and the trials and tribulations of life in the “Deep South.” Take a guided tour and listen to the stories passed down through generations. A history lesson told in a language spoken only by a select few. You’ll also find some of the most mouthwatering Gullah recipes have also survived and their influence can be found throughout the delectible menus of the Pawley’s Island area.
